Senior Strategic Communicator – Project Employment

We are looking for a senior strategic communicator for a long-term assignment in a socially important organization. The role is close to management and combines strategic responsibility with operational delivery within internal communication, management communication, and media/press.

This is a project employment, not a consulting assignment through your own company.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for driving and developing the organization’s strategic communication in close collaboration with management and leaders. You will act as an advisor on complex issues, ensure clear messages internally and externally, and manage media and press inquiries, including crisis communication.

The assignment requires high integrity, confidence in the role, and the ability to quickly understand business-critical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic internal and management communication
• Advising the CEO and management team
• Planning and implementing communication efforts related to change
• Media and press work, including crisis management
• Development of messages, decision support, and communication plans
• Collaboration with managers and key stakeholders in the organization

Workplace and Setup

• Employment type: fixed-term project employment
• Scope: full-time
• Location: hybrid, with regular on-site presence in Dalarna
• Start: January/February 2026
• End date: August 31, 2026

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for the role, all of the following requirements must be met:

• Very senior experience in strategic communication
• Documented experience in internal communication and management communication
• Accustomed to working closely with the CEO and/or management team in an advisory role
• Extensive experience in media, press, and crisis communication
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally
• Willingness and ability to take a fixed-term project employment

Desirable Qualifications

The following are meritorious but not required:

• Experience from energy, public sector, or other socially important activities
• Change communication in larger and complex organizations
• Experience in crisis preparedness and management support in sensitive situations
• Previous assignments with high demands for structure, pace, and independence

• Ability to quickly build trust at the management level
